ABOUT ME
Hello, I have been active at the craft of restoration and conservation on various antique artifacts since the early 1980’s…my specialty is wood related; typical French polishing and waxing techniques, gold leafing, carving, lacquer work etc. I have graduated from Montreal’s Concordia Fine Arts program in ’85. During this time, I operated a fully equipped “atelier” and along with my business partner, Alain Bogdan, a truly gifted cabinetmaker, went on to do fine furniture and astounding restoration work till 2015. I also opened a fine antique gallery, under the name of D.J. Malynowski Inc. located at 1642 Notre-Dame Street, in Montreal and offered 18th, and 19th century decorative arts. (1988-2003) I have since relocated and setup a large studio workspace, a few kilometres south east of Ottawa. I still enjoy my work, and I am willing to travel to offer my services. Lastly, I would like to thank all the distinguished clientele I was privileged to meet throughout the years, for their support and confidence witnessed.
